Materials of the Four Layers of Plastic Tiles

Plastic tiles are commonly used in roofing, and understanding the materials of the layers is important for ensuring quality and durability.

The four layers of plastic tiles typically consist of a base layer of uPVC (unplasticized polyvinyl chloride), a foam layer for insulation, a protective layer for weather resistance, and a top layer for aesthetic appeal. uPVC roof tile manufacturers often use high-quality uPVC material for the base layer, providing strength and stability.

The foam layer is usually made of PVC or other insulating materials, improving energy efficiency and reducing noise. The protective layer is typically made of ASA (acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylate) or PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) to protect against UV radiation and weathering.

Lastly, the top layer is often made of a coloured or printed PVC to give the tiles an attractive appearance. Understanding the materials used in these layers is crucial for choosing the right flat PVC roof panels or uPVC roofing products for your project.
